Chantel Rusz PMHNP-BC at Global Neuro & Spine Institute

Chantel is a board-certified family psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Her interest in science and zeal for helping others started at a young age. Chantel has worked with adults and pediatrics throughout her nursing career. Chantel is a member of the Neuroscience Education Institute.

Chantel received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. After seven years of working as a Registered Nurse at VCU Health System, she obtained her master’s degree in nursing, specializing in psychiatry from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Chantel enjoys all areas of psychiatry but holds a special place in her heart for adults living with trauma histories. She believes it’s important to use trauma-informed care with these individuals. Chantel is certified in ART (accelerated resolution therapy), which is a modality that can provide benefit for PTSD symptoms, in little as one session. In addition, she believes that early intervention is the key to living a fulfilling and productive life.

Chantel’s other interests include medication management and stress management. She believes in emphasizing the integrative principles of mind-body-spirit care to achieve a holistic approach to treating patients. Also, it is her utmost goal to see the stigma attached to mental health dissipate.
